| Ok, so after talking to MeLissa yesterday, I feel bad about not writing on here for a while. But, my life really isn't that exciting right now either. I pretty much do the same thing every day, which involves staying home and taking care of the kids. In the morning hours it's pretty much just Abby and I, because Trenton is napping. Shawn gets home from school at 11:40 and we have lunch. Then, sometime around 1, Shawn and Abby go down for a nap. Sometimes it works out where all three kids are napping at the same time and then I have a bit of time to myself. I love those days! Shawn's last day of school is the 27th, so then I will be back to taking care of all three kids for the summer days. I'm kind of looking forward to that, and hoping to be able to sleep a little later then 7 this summer. I think Shawn is looking forward to that as well! We are planning a trip to Branson with Andy's side of the family again sometime this summer too. We are all going to be staying in a log cabin together, so I wonder how well that will go??? Guess time will tell. Trenton is now 5 months old and getting so big already! He is enjoying himself and taking advantage of his older brother and sister who bring things to him so he doesn't have to move. He hasn't rolled over yet, but I'm sure that day will come soon enough! He is sleeping about 12 hours a night and his naps are now 2-3 hours long at a time, which is wonderful! He has discovered his thumb works just as well as a pacifier, so that helps him sleep too. At least now I don't have to keep going in his room and giving him back his pacifier! Our church is having a special dedication service this Sunday night, so we will be dedicating Trenton that night. I hope he isn't tired or hungry when it's time to go up front! Shawn and Abby are doing well too. Shawn is almost done with Kindergarten and he has had a great year. He has learned SO much this year. It is fun to listen to him read a story to his sister or pick out rhyming words. They had a music program at his school a few weeks ago and Shawn had a line to say in the mic. He did great, but laughed after he finished saying his line cause he thought he sounded funny! Abby has become my little helper. She follows me everywhere and asks "mom, what can I do for you?" all the time! She gets diapers for Trenton and plays with him if he starts to fuss while I'm not in the room. She likes to help me with the laundry and putting dishes away too. My kids are growing up SO fast, and I don't know where the time has gone! | | |
| Ok, so obviously I haven't written in a long time, but lots of things have happened since I last wrote. For one, we had a baby! His name is Trenton James and he was born December 8th at 12:52pm by c-section. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Everything went smoothly with the c-section and I'm pretty well recovered from it now. After we got out of the hospital, my sister-in-law, Jessi, got really sick with Toxic Shock. She was in the hospital from the 14th of December until the 31st. She was very very sick and we weren't sure what was going to happen for a while, but by God's grace and healing, she is doing better and getting stronger every day. Just recently, as of last Sunday through Wednesday night, we were in the hospital again with Trenton this time. He came down with RSV and was pretty sick. Trenton had oxygen on him almost the whole time we were in the hospital, because he wasn't breathing very well with all of that junk in his chest. Praise the Lord, he is doing better and we are home again. What a long three days that was! Now, today, I have come down with a sore throat and a fever too. What is going on in this house and this family? I am so ready for everyone to get better and stay healthy for a while. Please pray that we will all get better soon, cause we aren't able to go and see my mom (parents) while we are sick, and she hasn't seen Trenton in person yet. It has been pretty hard on her and I, not being able to share this joyous time. Thank you for your prayers. Hope you are all doing well. | | |
| Good news! I had my ultrasound today and found out that our baby is measuring 8 pounds 4 ounces, and that is small enough for me to cancel the c-section and wait to have a vbac!!! My doctor also checked me and told me that I was dialated to a 2 and his head has come down a bit. So, who knows...it could be soon that he comes, at least that is what I'm praying! Just wanted to update you on that good news! | | |
| I just wanted to write and let you all know that our little one might be here this Thursday. There are so many things that have been happening lately, so a few weeks ago, my doctor scheduled a c-section for the 6th. Tomorrow I have an ultrasound to find out how big the baby is, and if he is past a certain weight, then we will have the c-section on Thursday. He has to be under a certain weight for me to be able to have a vbac, so tomorrow will answer a lot of our questions. The baby is healthy and doing fine, but I'm a little nervous about another c-section. I'm also having a bit of a problem with not having my mom here right now either. She was here for both of our other kids' births, and with her health the way it is right now, I'm not sure when we will get to see her. Anyway, just some random thoughts going through my head right now and I thought I'd share them with you all. | | |
| Where has the time gone??? I can't believe that this Thursday is Thanksgiving already! Friday is Abby's 3rd birthday too! Things have been pretty crazy around here the past few weeks. My mom has been in the hospital for a little over 2 weeks now, but is making some great progress and getting better every day. Thank you all for your prayers, but please continue to pray for her, cause she still has a long ways to go. I've been going to doctors appointments about 3-4 times a week too. I found out that I have a high amount of amniotic fluid, so my doctor has had me start doing non-stress tests 2 times a week to keep an eye on the baby. I've also had ultrasounds about once a week, and my regular checkups too. So far all of the tests that they have been doing on baby have come back negative, so that is good. My doctor said that this may just be one of those "mystery" things that we never do find out why my fluid level is high. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, this baby is breech too (just like his older sister was), so the plan for now is a c-section on the 6th of December. If he should happen to flip before then, we will try the other route. Like I said earlier, it has been a pretty crazy month for us, but we are managing to get through. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and a great time with your family and friends! | | |
